Chapter 1, Act 6: Grand Warstorm

The Wuthering Waves Grand Warstorm quest is the epic finale to the first part of the main storyline. As the eighth main quest in Wuthering Waves, Grand Warstorm follows the Rewinding Raindrops quest.

Grand Warstorm Walkthrough

At the start of the Grand Warstorm quest, you’ll be playing as Jiyan, without other teammates. Walk to the other side of the building and go through the dialogue, then fight a few waves of Tacet Discord enemies.

After the cutscene, you’ll take on the role of Rover (alone, no teammates). Speak with Taoqi, whom you can reach by using the grappling point.

Following the cutscene, defeat the Tacet Discords with a team consisting of Rover, Yangyang, Chixia, and Lingyang.

You'll briefly take on the role of Jiyan again to defeat more Tacet Discords.

When you switch back to Rover and Yangyang, walk towards the Tacet Field and help the wounded soldier.

Directly afterward, Jiyan will join the team as you battle the Thundering Mephis boss. This Electro boss is easily defeated if you counter its attacks. Beware that you don’t have a healer on the team.

Take the team to the military base. You can use the grappling points to get there faster.

Once there, you’ll be asked for your input on military strategy, but your answers do not affect the quest outcome. Nonetheless, the ‘correct’ answer is always the one at the top.

At this point in the Wuthering Waves Grand Warstorm quest, you’ll return to the normal map. If you continue the quest, you’ll be taken to limited quest areas again (with trial characters only), so you might want to do some daily tasks first.

When you’re ready, go to the northeastern part of Desorock Highland and speak with the soldier next to the Resonance Beacon, then take the nearby lift. Use the grappling points to get there quickly.

Defeat the Tacet Discords, who’ll be waiting on the lower platform, then speak with the wounded soldier. Defeat more Tacet Discords as you make your way down the stairs afterward. Rover and Yangyang are the only characters on your team for now.

Enter the Norfall Valley and defeat the Tacet Discords on the path. Jianxin and Jiyan will join the team.

When you reach the end of the road, use the grappling hook - this will activate a cutscene.

Slide down the slope. You’ll be prompted to use the grappling ability to leap over the cliff. Immediately after landing, fight a group of Tacet Discords.

Next, enter the Hovering Ruins. As instructed, use the ‘pull’ function on the stone wall, then follow the road.

After defeating two large Tacet Discords at the end of the road, use the stone slab on the left side of the room to reach the higher floor.

Use the ‘pull’ ability to create a platform. Stand on the platform and use ‘pull’ again to reach the tower.

Go upstairs and fight some Tacet Discords. After the fight, use pull again to reach the next area.

There’s a massive Tacet Discord waiting for you, but rather than fight, just pull the wall behind him - this will defeat him instantly.

Follow the path for a little while longer. Once you’re at the highest point, be ready to fight the Impermanence Heron boss. Jiyan, Yangyang, and Rover are the trial characters.

Beware of the Impermanence Heron’s airborne attacks; when he flies up, be ready to dodge!

When the boss is down, continue following the path, using the pull ability to cross gaps. When you reach the upward wind current, use it to get up to the highest floor - you’ll need to pull some of the stone slabs out of the way.

Enter the Warblade from Above portal to start the final battle against the Crownless. Only Rover and Jiyan are on the team.

The first round of the fight is deceptively easy, but beware; when the Crownless is down, a stronger boss will take its place.

This boss has plenty of fast, ranged attacks, so be patient, dodge incoming attacks, and wait until the boss is close before you strike.

When the boss’s HP drops to 50%, the third phase of the battle will begin. The boss will fly upwards and aim purple laser beams at you; be prepared to outrun them. When the boss starts launching missiles at you, as shown in the picture below, use attacks to destroy them before they hit you. This is fairly easy; just spam Jiyan’s Basic Attacks.

After a cutscene, the fourth phase will begin. Jiyan leaves the team and Spectro Rover becomes Havoc Rover. What follows is a fairly normal boss fight with the usual range of melee attacks, ranged attacks, and counter opportunities. After some time, Jiyan will rejoin the team.
