Erik Adams

Erik Adams is IGN's Entertainment Reviews Editor, overseeing the site's reviews of movies and TV. He began his career in entertainment journalism at the AV Club; during his 13 years with the site, he recapped The Americans, interviewed Mel Brooks and Paul Reubens, and co-hosted the pop-culture travel series Pop Pilgrims. After leaving the AV Club in 2022, Erik helped run IndieWire's craft and special projects desk and wrote for Vulture, Primetimer, and Episodic Medium. A Rotten Tomatoes top critic since 2013 and former member of the Television Critics Association, you may also remember Erik from the Onion article “Mr. Autumn Man Walking Down Street With Cup Of Coffee, Wearing Sweater.” He lives in Chicago with his wife, daughter, and too many VHS tapes of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
